McCain is ‘Divorced’….

12 09 2008

During Thursday night’s ServiceNation forum in New York, Senator John McCain finally told us all what we’ve known all along, that he is out of touch, or ‘divorced’ from the issues of everyday Americans. While defending his choice for V.P., Judy Woodruff of PBS asked about Palin’s stint as a small-town mayor.

“Listen, mayors have the toughest job, I think, in America. It’s easy for me to go to Washington and, frankly, be somewhat divorced from the day-to-day challenges people have.”

Now if John McCain feels that way as a Senator, do you really think he’ll be ‘Married’ to the American people?

AND, did you hear the praise he gives Community Organizers? You hear that Sarah?

GOP – Here’s Hoping FEAR Wins Us The Election

John McCain Reiterated his rhetoric last night during his acceptance speech at the RNC in St. Paul last night. Throughout his hour long speech, (which was constantly interrupted by applause every 3 minutes) John McCain talked extensively about his love for his Country, his dedication to America, and of course, his being a POW during the Vietnam War. It’s relatively obvious that McCain is ready to lead….He’s ready to lead us to four more years of the same failed policies of the Bush Administration.

McCain gave a lot of love to Bush last night, making Bush out to be some kind of hero. “I’m grateful to the President for leading us in those dark days following the worst attack on American soil in our history, and keeping us safe from another attack many thought was inevitable..” He forgot to mention that the attack was on Bush’s watch, and Bush had advanced warning from a PDB (Presidential Daily Brief) titled quite specifically “Bin Laden Determined To Strike In US.”

His executive ineptness led him to not even pay attention to this brief, subsequently allowing the worst attack in history on American Soil. I’m no conspiracy theorist, however, there are many independent groups that have very compelling arguments and theories about the President and his administration’s role leading up to, and following 9/11. Could this tragedy have been perpetrated in part by our own Government? Before you dismiss these questions think about this; The Republican party has built their whole platform on FEAR. Vote Republican and we’ll keep you safe! They want to kill you and your family for no reason! They will strike again if you vote with the Democrats! This type of fear mongering is the only way to stay in the White House. America is smarter than that. We understand that with McCain, yes we may be a little safer, but we also may have more conflicts because of the GOP’s “Offense First” ideology. Since diplomacy is not in their vocabulary, WAR will be a constant, and fear will be constantly shoved down our throats.

The most blatant use of fear mongering came the other night at the Republican National Convention. This was typical of the GOP tactics, Scare America, discredit the opposition, and rule the Country as if it were a police state. Can anyone say Patriot Act?

More GOP Hypocrisy

Did He really Pick Her Because She's Ready To Lead?

Did He really Pick Her Because She

After watching the GOP Convention last night, I came away feeling all dirty. Listening to Rudy can make one feel that way. He of course is the biggest hypocrite of them all. I didn’t know much about Gov. Palin before last night. I really don’t know much about her today, since her words were nowhere to be found in her “groundbreaking’ speech. Of course it was written by the same speechwriters who penned most of George Bush’s speeches, once again, more of the same. It’s obvious to me, and many others, that McCain’s choice for VP is strictly about personality and not about the ability to lead. I find it interesting that McCain chose her after meeting her once. What was that about? Was McCain taken by her good looks, the fact that she’s a woman, or the fact that she has experience as Governor of Alaska, and Mayor of a small town. Could it be that he sees himself in her, a so-called Maverick who can bring about change? The Hypocrites of the GOP all came out in droves claiming how great a choice this is, staunchly defending her time as Mayor and Governor. To see exactly what I mean by this, check out comments from Karl Rove and others, as their slithery forked tongues talk in circles, contradicting themselves time and time again. And they say the Dems are flip-floppers..HA!
