I saw a show on Showtime last night that confirmed all my suspicions, as well as the suspicions of minorities across the Country, that the CIA and the Federal Government led the influx of drugs in the Black, Latino, and poor white communities in the United States.Below is a clip of the first ten minutes of the documentary. From the Iran Contra War, To Nancy Reagan’s ‘Just Say No” campaign, American Drug War shows how and why drugs were brought into the United States to Support a secret war they were funding, with drug money.Don’t dismiss my opinion until you see the entire program for yourself. I guarantee you’ll come away with a different outlook.

Hollywood Shuffle (1987)

One of my all-time favorite comedies. Robert Townsend wrote, directed, produced, and starred in this underground classic comedy. Robert portrays Bobby, a young African American Actor looking for “work” in the business of Hollywood. Unfortunately for him he only gets auditions for demeaning, and stereotypical roles as a gun toting Pimp, Slave, or gangster.
Bobby has to choose whether to take a stand against such roles, or just take the “work.” As his Grandmother tells him throughout, “There’s work at the Post Office.”

Happy Birthday Denzel

Happy Birthday to the greatest male actor of our generation. Today is the 53rd birthday of Denzel Washington. Please go and support The Great Debaters. This was a great movie and should garner another Oscar nomination for Mr. Washington.

I’m baaaaack. Give me some time to get settled and I’ll be back in full effect.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances I had to switch from my previous Hosting provider. It turns out that they are very strict on copyright infringement and my music site was becoming a little too popular. I guess if I was a starving artist and saw my music on a website available for download for free, I’d be pretty pissed as well. With that said, I’ve decided to go in a different direction.

Although I will occasionally hit you off with a hot podcast, this site will primarily be for my writing. Any and everything will be my subject. Current events, sports, entertainment, gossip, politics, you name it. If it’s newsworthy, I will cover it.
